Laneway has got to be the first music festival I’ve been to with a roster of indie bands, and I will always be thankful for Kats for letting me tag-along on this one. I mean, I’m not familiar of most of the bands in the line-up, I guess I went for the experience and I must say it was pretty amazing.
The idea of 3 stages made the place really spacious for all the fist pumping, rhythmic jumping, and booze spilling moves that are happening all over the gardens. And based from my eyes, everybody was having a blast without sacrificing a percent on safety and security. It was generally a hassle-free entertainment day for the thousands of music heads who attended.
And with all the music in my head, I have realized that you can never go wrong with live music. There’s just something about these indie-performances that triggered my interest in them. And I would like to share to you my top 5 which gave me LSSs. James Blake, Vance Jhoy, Chrvches, Haim, and my newfound love – Daughter.
I’ll definitely go back next year for another dose of indie awesomeness. And if you haven’t been to one of these kinda music festivals– which is me for the past 21years, you should definitely try it out. Who knows, we can sit down on the grass and talk about the future.
